Technical Gardener

Must have five (5) years of experience in a variety of gardening and landscaping work. Must be able to take responsibility for a wide variety of gardening and landscaping work such as earth removal, pruning hedges, post and fence installation, planting of grass, shrubs and trees, fertilizing and controlling of pests and plant diseases. Must have sufficient experience and technical knowledge of plant propagation, distinguishing and differentiating between seasonal flowering annuals and perennials. Must be capable of utilizing small spaces with a pleasing combination of diversified plants and exhibit concern for design, balance, harmony, geometric and correlation. Must be familiar with new varieties of flowers, as well as spring and summer bulbs, herbs and vegetables. Must have sufficient knowledge of such plants and bushes that can be adopted and acclimated to a wide range of soil, climates and cultural practices without losing their beauty. Must be able to demonstrate proper gardening methods, and check frequently to assure that sound and safe procedures are being followed. Must be experienced in planting, pruning and care of plants/trees and shall accomplish different planting jobs according to approved landscape designs or use his own judgment and skill to improve appearance of the designated location. Must be experienced in preparation of flower/vegetable beds and in maintaining indoor  plants. Must be able to demonstrate to other gardening crews the use of fertilizers, tools and equipment for land preparation and cultivation. Must have good command of oral and written (colloquial Arabic desirable) and must have working knowledge of botanical names of plants.
